Barlie's Journey Into Bravefern Hollow

After three years in the making, Feltie Fern Friends is finally ready to share with the world. We created this series as a family, and it has become something deeply close to our hearts. It’s inspired by a shared desire to help kids who are navigating big feelings and everyday challenges, and to give parents, teachers, and therapists a fun way to open those conversations.

We know how hard it can be to find the right words when a child is struggling, and this series was created to help make that a little easier.

Barlie’s Journey Into Bravefern Hollow is a story where every animal has their own fear or challenge, just like kids do in real life. Barlie struggles with OCD and anxiety, and when he meets his new friend Renley, he begins taking small, brave steps forward. Barlie’s bravery in facing his OCD causes a glowing fern to transform into a portal, pulling them into a magical world filled with new friends, surprises, and challenges.

Meet The Authors

Michelle & Randy Hoffman

We're Michelle and Randy, the husband-and-wife team behind Feltie Fern Friends. Together with our two daughters, we spent three years creating a magical world inspired by the big feelings and challenges children experience.

Our hope is to create stories that help children feel seen, understood, and a little braver while giving parents, teachers, and therapists meaningful ways to start important conversations.

Meet The Ilustrator

Milan Samadder

Milan Samadder is a digital illustrator and visual artist with a background in graphic design. As the illustrator of Barlie's Journey Into Bravefern Hollow, he brings the world of Feltie Fern Friends to life with vibrant, imaginative artwork full of warmth and adventure.

Inspired by the colorful books he loved growing up, Milan creates illustrations that spark curiosity, fuel imagination, and invite young readers into every page.
